After bathing, brushing my teeth, getting dressed and making sure I didn't forget anything I should bring or bringing anything I shouldn't, I went to leave for school.
When I arrived there though, it was still dark, and the cold temperature outside made me think it was still nighttime, thought it was already close to six o'clock in the morning. I met up with my classmates near the centennial gym and there we waited for the other buses and our other classmates to arrive. Eventually, I got bored of sitting while waiting, so I settled for bugging Aaron and Joshua, who were the ones beside me at that moment.
Instead of leaving at 6:00 like Ma'am Shane had told us, the buses left at quarter to seven. The sun was already rising by then. And finally we were allowed to get in the bus. We had our attendance check first, to see if everyone was there. After that was the opening prayer and our tour guide introduced himself. Then, our tour guide started asking questions and giving trivia about our trip. Honestly, I wasn't really listening, I can only remember a few responses here and there, and the rest was nothing. I was too busy playing with my Nintendo and eating gummy bears. ^_^
Getting to our first destination wasn't that long, because we reached the La Mesa Eco Park after a short while. It was a huge place. It was almost a forest (was it one?). Our tour guide led us to a place with stairs. Lots of them. On both sides of the stairs were a hill-like structure, with flowers and other plants. We were told to climb up the stairs, which wasn't the easiest thing to do. I didn't mind the number of steps, they weren't that many (I didn't count anyway). But the width of the steps were tiring, almost double the width of the staircase at our house. I eventually reached the end, but then the tour guide told us that we can't take pictures of the dam. On the bright side, going down was better than going up. ;D
That is one TALL tree...
We told him to go away, but he didn't >.< He ruined the view...
Our second destination was somewhere I've already been to. The Lucky Me noodle factory didn't allow any pictures to be taken, and instead, they were the ones who took the pictures of us. See? I wasn't actually looking. I looked after they said "Lucky me!"
They looked like they were having fun~
We then ate our lunch in our bus. Ma'am Shane told us that the Botanical Gardens were a long trip away. The bus was messy. Not the 'trash-is-on-the-floor-messy' but more like everyone inside the bus was either eating or making a ruckus. Me and Nodylyn decided to watch DVDs while waiting, so we spent more or less 3 hours watching on her portable player.
I have no idea on whose feet is that... o_o
There was a U.P. college student who introduced us to different kinds of plants. He also gave an explanation about how their scientific names were formed, why they look like they do, and their different uses. >.< But we didn't even get to see the creek farther down the area.
A good thing about it was that I got to buy bracelets and key chains and other stuff from the stalls there. *winks*
The only souvenir I have a picture of. It looks like a snowflake ^_^
The last destination didn't take too long to get to. We reached Dr. Jose Rizal's home after the Botanical Garden. The house was slightly big, and it looked like a fun place to live in. It was different from an ordinary home because even the dining room and bathroom had been placed upstairs on the second floor. There was also some sort of elevator on the side of the house, and there was also a dried-up water well.
The home of our national hero.
The dining room located at the second floor. I haven't seen the kitchen though...
A lot of Dr. Jose Rizal's preserved belongings were also there. Including his clothes, pants and vests. Also, there were some items which were most used during their time. Some paintings were displayed there, too.
A painting of a child in the streets.
Dr. Jose Rizal's old vests. Or are they suits?
What's that stick thing there? o.o
The backyard of the house was wide, and even if it was midday already, it was still breezy. If it was like that everyday, I might consider living there :D
Peace!
Sadly, that was our last destination. We weren't able to reach Gardenia in time so it closed.
BUT...
That didn't mean the fun ended there, right?
The trip back to school had probably been the best part of the trip. Everyone was noisy, but we didn't mind. Every time the bus would stop, Antonio would blast out music and we would chorus "Sasayaw si Mike! Sasayaw si Mike!" and Mike would oblige, usually doing funny dance moves to make us laugh. He and Jedi had a showdown too. After all our energies wore off, we all slept, the trip had tired us out.
Apparently, Nodylyn had taken a liking to using me as a pillow, because she lay on my lap while both of us slept.
We reached MCU, and we all said our goodbyes to our classmates. They didn't like the atmosphere at MCU during the night, so they went out in groups. I on the other hand, was picked up by my father.
The entire trip was fun-filled, enjoying and a great experience. Even if my legs were sore when I arrived at home, even though I was hungry from not eating dinner, even though I fell asleep right after I changed into my night clothes because of fatigue, I couldn't care less. I couldn't care less because I enjoyed the trip and spent time with the whole class. ^_^ <3

My Favorite Picture ^_^
